Another book which has made a deep impact on me! And like I shared about James Clear’s, Atomic Habits, Marshal Rosenberg’s, Non-Violent Communication, and Ichak Adizes’s, What matters in Life, my forthcoming posts will be about Mindset by Dr. Carol Dweck.
She talks with humor and conveys profound messages, with simplicity! Like James Clear helped me build lasting habits, NVC helps me communicate with integrity and What matters in life is helping me stand up for what matters to me; this book is making me aware of my mindset, and I am unravelling new things about myself! Honestly, like every other knowledge available to us, this is also not new.
We all know habits are important, like wise we acknowledge that communication is the key to every relationship. Respect and trust are at the heart of all relationships! Nothing new at all, yet we struggle with all of them. A little reminder or a fresh perspective helps us revisit them, think and maybe dig a little, become more aware, and that is the purpose of these posts.
Mindset also is the same age-old philosophy offered in a unique way. The author gives examples of other famous personalities, and she also includes herself; her journey and how her mindset has shaped her life. It feels relatable as she comes across as humane, which encourages me to ponder!
These posts are a small glimpse, I encourage the reader to read the whole book, Mindsets by Dr.Carol Dweck.
If she did it, I can do it too, be more self-aware and make changes as I learn and move forward. She starts the book with a queer fascination of hers, “Understanding how people cope with failures!”
A little about the author: Carol Dweck– the Lewis and Virginia Eaton Professor of Psychology at Stanford University.
