Meditation - Journey inwards

786sharanya

Heartfulness meditation takes me on many exciting adventures every day for which I am ever grateful to this path. One profound method which has ever so gently helped me know myself and accept myself.

The importance of mental health and increasing need for balance, peace and harmony and the quest to maintain our internal balance amidst the external chaos is gaining momentum. The recent conclusion of World Mental health day celebrations, prompt me to write about my path again.

Meditation is my chance to be with myself and shift my focus within from the outside world, with its ever-developing challenges and struggles. My journey started with Meditation and Prayer which are two integral steps on this path. And the present Master added a simple yet powerful physical aspect to our path, by including relaxation.

This simple breathing exercise helps me gather myself, move inward and still the mind. The time spent in meditation is calm, focused and inches me closer to my real goal. Heartfulness meditation is aided by yogic transmission which gently and subtly clears the fog and lends clarity, helping the mind to connect with the heart and listen to the whispers of the heart.

Prayer is my anchor, a chance to put myself before Him, in all humility and surrender. Prayer is my time reflect on myself, my actions, inactions during the day, without judgement or opinion. I present myself to Him, have a heart to heart with Him, and pray for change the way He wills. Every prayer is an acknowledgement to me that I am not smart or wise to know what I need! Until I don’t have that kind of awareness, I hinge myself to Him and move forward.

Without any compulsion, or force, in a lucid way, ever so gently, I change.
