Inventure - My journey within

Before moving on to a new learning that I feel eager to share, I wanted to integrate the previous books’ learnings that I have shared with you all. All the books have helped me dig deep and deeper within myself. I hope a little self-reflection was possible for the readers too.

This inner journey I have embarked on has transformed my life.  I know a little more about myself than I knew yesterday, and that’s a step forward for me. This inner journey started with meditation, which taught me the importance of giving time to myself. I did always give time to myself, but it was always with someone or some other tasks, like listening to music, going for a walk. Sitting down in a quiet corner and just be with me and myself was the gift of meditation! I am forced to look at myself, listen to myself. It has not been an easy journey, but it has undoubtedly been very rewarding.

Atomic Habits helped me with goal setting, and a structured pathway to achieve those goals. The tools offered are so ridiculously simple that if I failed to act on my goals and tasks, it would keep gnawing at my conscience! Hook or crook he managed to make me get back to yoga. Writing, reading are integral to my life, and I have time to add more if I wish to!

I was gradually smiling more at myself, comfortable with myself and happy to be by myself! Then NVC happened! Keeping my balance was easy because of meditation, but aligning the inner balance with the outer balance remained a challenge! I am improving every day in building enriching relationships, keeping harmony at work, expressing myself with integrity by consciously practicing the four pillars of NVC.

Dr. Adizes book ‘What matters in Life’ made me understand what to focus on and look for in relationships. Without trust, and respect relationships suffer, and harmony remains at stake.
