Continuing with the previous post; the meaning of Brhman as explained by my master.
The dictionary meaning first; “The ultimate reality underlying all phenomena in the Hindu scriptures. "Brahman is formless but is the birthplace of all forms in visible reality"
Master explains: Bruh + Man = Brhman. Bruh means expansion and Man is the contemplative mind. As they expand, to that extent we become Brahm. In other words, to that extent you have evolved your consciousness.
This is infinite or limitless, as evolution of consciousness is a 360degree awareness, deep within and beyond! To achieve this state of being able to evolve my consciousness and make it limitless, the only tool is meditation. Without meditation the inner journey cannot start.

Even after starting this journey, I realized that I was meditating without any awareness of the ultimate goal, the real goal. I started meditation with a very self-centric goal of being able to cope with my self-destructive anger. Anger about one aspect was overcome only to be replaced by some other troubling event or relationship. It dawned on me that though I was getting better at managing my feelings, stay calm in the face of unpleasantness, and learn to respond avoiding hasty reactions in the heat of the moment, the restlessness persisted.
Meditation, Cleaning and Prayer were helping me know myself better. After this, what next, became my query. After meditating for so many years why do I still feel restless? Something seemed to be eluding me, remained out of reach. My inner-self and outer-self conflict had not ceased. My expectations remained. My consciousness was still embroiled in ephemeral things. It was still far away from the eternal or the lasting truth! That’s why I was juggling with this inconsistent condition. I was more adept at managing myself, but diving deeper into myself and detaching from all else was yet to happen.
My consciousness is yet to evolve to that extent that it can connect or blend with the lasting state of oneness and peace. And because my goal is that lasting peace and oneness, meditation is a must for me, to be able to achieve my real goal of life.
